Join our team as a locum tenens Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) providing acute care in an outpatient Express Care / urgent care-style clinic in Hancock, Michigan. You will be the sole provider in the clinic, supported by a medical assistant and receptionist, delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a small-town setting near outdoor recreation in the Upper Peninsula.

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $3,310 - $3,920

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA); urgent care or acute care experience preferred
• Active Michigan NP or PA license required
• Active Michigan Controlled Substance License and DEA registration
• Board Certified (NP or PA)
• Current BLS certification from AHA
• Recent clinical experience within the last 12 months, or graduation from an accredited NP/PA program within the last 12 months
• Onsite orientation required prior to first block (April 1, 2026, approx. 8am–3pm)

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the sole provider in the Express Care clinic, delivering acute outpatient care and urgent care services
• Manage an average of 14–28 patient encounters per 12-hour shift
• Diagnose and treat a wide range of acute illnesses and minor injuries commonly seen in outpatient/express care settings
• Document patient encounters using Athena EMR and follow clinic protocols for charting and billing
• Collaborate with support staff (medical assistant and receptionist) to ensure efficient patient flow
• Participate in ongoing coverage blocks as needed to maintain clinic coverage during position vacancy
