Practice Overview
- You'll join an established inpatient hospitalist service at a respected community hospital with broad specialty support
- Work alongside hospitalist physicians and a team of experienced APP colleagues (current daytime APP team in place; expansion positions)
- Closed ICU model with no ICU management responsibilities
- No procedures required; focus on admissions support, daily rounding, and care coordination
Schedule
- 7-on / 7-off block schedule (Tuesday-Monday rotation)
- Day shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM (12-hour shifts)
- Typical volume up to ~10 patients per shift
- Inpatient-only coverage using Cerner EMR
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $127,500
- Bonuses: $10,000 quality bonus + $2,500 retention bonus
- $10,000 sign-on bonus
- Health/dental/vision, Simple IRA with 3% match after 1 year, plus reimbursement for licensure/DEA/professional associations
Candidate Requirements
- Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with ability to practice as an inpatient hospitalist APP in Texas
- Hospitalist/inpatient experience preferred (reach out to discuss what level is needed)
- Comfort with collaborative rounding, admissions support, and care coordination in an acute-care setting
