Nurse Practitioner - Adult Hospitalist, Full Time, Night Shift
Job Responsibilities
As an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) on our Hospitalist team, you’ll work alongside dedicated physicians, nurses, and specialists to deliver exceptional care to adult inpatients. We’re known for being one of the busiest emergency departments on the West Coast, and our hospitalists are a vital part of that high-performing system. You’ll join a team of over 50 physicians and advanced practitioners that values evidence-based practice, professional growth, and work-life balance, with a schedule designed to give you both challenge and recovery time. Our hospitalists APPs are integral to ensuring seamless patient transitions and supporting our commitment to quality care day or night.
Advanced Practice Provider NP / PA – Adult Hospitalist
Our Adult Hospitalist program provides comprehensive inpatient care at our main campus in Salem, Oregon. Our multidisciplinary team manages a diverse patient population. You will collaborate closely with a top-notch Rapid Response Team as well as our experienced Emergency Room colleagues. We prioritize sustainable workloads, evidence-based practice, and continuous improvement supported by Lean principles and a commitment to provider engagement.

Salem Hospital is an award-winning hospital system serving Oregon’s mid-Willamette Valley. Our campus in Salem is a Level II Trauma Center and one of the largest acute care hospitals in the state, with more than 600 beds.
Qualifications
Master’s degree or higher in Nursing or equivalent field recognized by the Oregon Board of Nursing.
Completion of a Nurse Practitioner program recognized by the Oregon Board of Nursing.
Current, unencumbered RN license and NP certificate in the State of Oregon.
Valid NP national certification and DEA registration.
At least 12 months relevant hospital experience in the past three years.
If the Nurse Practitioner does not have the relevant hospital experience and cannot otherwise document current competency, a monitoring plan may be required.
Current American Heart Association ACLS certification.

Respond promptly to patient needs, utilizing rapid response teams for codes and ICU procedures.
