APC Hospitalist – Days | Wausau, WI

Location: Wausau, Wisconsin
Role: Advanced Practice Clinician (NP or PA) – Hospitalist
Setting: Inpatient Hospital Medicine
Schedule: Day shifts only
Coverage Need: Provider must be able to cover the vast majority of the listed date blocks (see dates below)

Assignment Overview

We are urgently seeking an experienced APC Hospitalist to provide daytime inpatient coverage in Wausau, WI. This is a high-priority coverage need with immediate credentialing efforts underway, and the selected APC must be able to commit to nearly all scheduled date blocks.

Due to time-sensitive licensing and credentialing requirements, providers must have strong availability alignment and be able to move quickly.

Responsibilities

• Manage adult inpatient medical patients on hospitalist service

• Perform daily rounding, admissions, discharges, and care coordination

• Collaborate closely with attending physicians and multidisciplinary teams

• Document efficiently within hospital EMR

• Ensure high-quality, patient-centered inpatient care

• 12-15 patients per day and NO procedures necessary

Provider Requirements

• NP or PA with hospitalist experience required

• Active or eligible Wisconsin license (or ability to expedite)

• Ability to commit to most of the listed coverage blocks

• Flexible, reliable, and able to credential quickly

• Strong inpatient clinical and communication skills
