Job description
A private, independent hospitalist group in central Virginia is offering a reimagined approach to inpatient APP practice. This role provides predictable daytime-only schedules, flexible self-scheduling, and a supportive environment where APPs thrive long term. A structured 9-month fellowship is also available for new graduates seeking mentorship and confidence-building clinical experience.
Job Responsibilities
Collaborate with physicians and fellow APPs to deliver consistent, patient-centered care
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
Participate in a collegial, team-based environment focused on quality and continuity of care
For new graduates: engage fully in a mentored fellowship program designed to support skill development
Qualifications
Hospitalist or inpatient experience preferred but not required
Strong communication, adaptability, and teamwork skills
Commitment to integrity, balance, and long-term relationships with patients and colleagues\
Ability to work across multiple hospital sites as needed
Working Hours
10-hour shifts with flexible self-scheduling
Approximately 16 shifts per month
Consistent daytime focus allows for better balance and long-term sustainability
