Job Title: Inpatient APP
Location: WI
Position Type: Locum Tenens / PRN with Ongoing Opportunities
Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a highly independent Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to provide inpatient care coverage at the campus. This role involves collaboration with a supervising physician (MD rounds every other day) and offers an opportunity to become part of a broader network with potential shifts across multiple campuses. This is an excellent opportunity for an APP confident in managing a typical inpatient census, completing admissions/discharges, and participating in rehab evaluations and follow-up.
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently manage inpatient hospitalist duties with periodic MD rounds (every other day)
- Perform H&P evaluations, develop treatment plans, manage ongoing care, and discharge patients as appropriate
- Evaluate potential swing rehab patients for appropriateness at St. Clare
- Complete intake assessments for inpatient rehab patients
- Conduct weekly rounding on rehab patients
- Average daily census: 12–18 patients
- ER admissions: 0–2 per day
- Swing bed patient admissions vary
Schedule Coverage Needs:
- Sept 2–8 (optional, ambitious but preferred)
- Sept 30 – Oct 6
- Oct 14–20
- Oct 28 – Nov 3
- Nov 11–17
- Nov 25 – Dec 1
- Dec 23–29
- Will have ongoing shifts
