Intermountain Health seeks PRN Neuro-Hospitalist join our team.

Practice Information:

  • One BC/BE Neuro-hospitalist is needed to join our group at St. George Regional Medical Center, a level II trauma center
  • Group will have mid-level support
  • This is a 24/7 service providing inpatient Neuro-hospitalist services. Work 15-16, 12 hours shifts per month split between day/night/nocturnal.
  • Position provides tele-stroke support to the Intermountain hospitals state-wide
  • Neuro-hospitalist positions are a part of our larger Neuroscience Institute group which includes Neuro Critical Care physicians, Epileptologists, outpatient Neurologists, Neuro and Spine PM&R physicians,
  • Neuro psychologists and Psychiatrists
  • Employment position with the Intermountain Medical Group

Requirements:

  • Board Certified/ Board Eligible in Neurology
  • Unrestricted Utah MD or DO license or the ability to obtain an unrestricted license
  • U.S. ACGME Residency

The city of St. George has a population of 99,958 and the county has 191,226. As mentioned, the area has recently experienced major population growth, and the trend is expected to continue. The area is known for its breathtaking scenery and is the gateway to the nation’s largest concentration of national parks. Recreational activities for the entire family include boating, camping, hiking, backpacking, fishing, and mountain biking. There is a moderate four-season climate, and during winter months residents can ski in the morning and play golf in nearby communities in the afternoon. Overall, you will find sunshine 300 days out of the year. Educational opportunities are available through Utah Tech University (UT) and Southern Utah University (SUU). Summer activities include the Utah Summer Games and the Utah Shakespearean Festival, recipient of the Tony Award for Outstanding Regional Theatre. Southern Utah is near Las Vegas, NV (1.5 hrs.) and Salt Lake City, UT (4 hrs.)
