Hematology/Oncology Nurse Practitioner Needed – Providence, RI
Start Date: April 2026 or as soon as credentialed
Contract Length: 13 weeks; potential extension
Schedule
Full-time scheduled clinical hours or part-time block scheduling available
Monday–Friday, 8:00a–4:00p
Shared rotational call coverage
Flexible scheduling options based on provider availability
Practice Details
Acute care hospital setting with both inpatient and outpatient oncology services
Collaborative care model with onsite hematology/oncology physician support
Combination of clinic visits and inpatient consultative care
EMR and paper charting systems utilized
Clinical Scope
Provide outpatient hematology and oncology patient care
Conduct inpatient consults and daily rounding as needed
Evaluate, diagnose, and manage hematology and oncology conditions
Develop and manage treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians
Order and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory results
Document all patient encounters and clinical findings
Provide patient education and support regarding treatment plans
Coordinate care with multidisciplinary clinical teams
Requirements
Nurse Practitioner – Hematology/Oncology
Active Rhode Island license preferred or willingness to obtain
DEA and applicable prescriptive authority required
Minimum 2 years of hematology/oncology experience required
Strong clinical assessment and patient management skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hospital-based environment
Familiarity with EMR systems preferred
Credentialing
Standard credentialing timeframe applies
Submission must include active license, DEA, and supporting credentials
Location
Located in the Greater Warwick region of Rhode Island, supporting inpatient and outpatient hematology and oncology services within a structured weekday clinical schedule.
