Practice Setting
Free-Standing Cancer Center
Reason for Coverage: Loss of provider
Call Schedule
-
First call for patient phone calls and hospital phone calls:
• Tuesday 4:30pm–8:00am
• Friday 4:30pm–Monday 8:00am -
On-site inpatient rounding Saturday & Sunday

Call Ratio: One rotation every 5–6 weeks (dependent upon staffing)
Clinical Details
Patient Population: Adult, Geriatric
Practice Mix:
-
65% benign hematology
-
35% malignant oncology
-
0% internal medicine
Practice Staff:
-
8 Physicians
-
4 APPs
Patient Volumes:
-
Outpatient: ~15 per day
-
Inpatient (Call/Rounding): ~20 per day
Clinical Areas:

Oncology – Outpatient

Oncology – Inpatient
Required Duties:

Management of Bone Marrow Transplants
-
Blood Bank
-
Order tests & imaging
-
Prescribe
-
Chemotherapy Administration: Completed by Nurse Oncologist
Requirements

Board Certified in Hematology & Oncology – Required
-
Active SC License (or willingness to obtain one) – Required

BLS – Required
-
DEA – Required
-
EMR: Epic
