Seeking an experienced Oncology NP to provide locum coverage in both outpatient hematology/oncology and weekend inpatient rounding. This role supports adult and geriatric patients alongside a collaborative team of physicians and APPs.
Job Responsibilities
Perform inpatient rounding during call weekends
Manage bone marrow transplant–related patient care
Order labs, imaging, and diagnostic tests
Manage blood bank needs & prescribe medications
Handle first-call phone coverage per rotation
Document patient care in EPIC
Qualifications
Active SC license or willingness to obtain – Required
BLS – Required
DEA – Required
Must be comfortable treating adult & geriatric populations
Working Hours
Coverage Dates: Feb 1, 2026 – Sept 30, 2026
Call Rotation (every 5–6 weeks):
Tues 4:30 PM – 8:00 AM
Fri 4:30 PM – Mon 8:00 AM
Weekend: On-site rounding Saturday & Sunday
Skills
Bone marrow transplant care support
Strong clinical assessment & critical thinking
Ability to handle ~15 outpatient visits/day
EPIC proficiency
Comfortable with ~20 inpatient rounding patients
