We are actively recruiting an experienced Hematology/Oncology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a well-established oncology program in Ashtabula, OH, located along the Lake Erie shoreline—conveniently positioned one hour from both Cleveland, OH and Erie, PA.
This is an outstanding opportunity to join a highly supportive cancer care team within a growing community hospital setting.
Position Highlights

Patient Volume:

Outpatient: 15–20 patients/day

Hospital: 3–5 patients/day

Schedule: Full-time, negotiable

Call: 10 days per month

Setting: Outpatient-based role with some inpatient rounding

Population: 50% adult / 50% geriatric

Case Mix: 25% Hematology / 75% Oncology

Team: 2 physicians currently in practice

186-bed Joint Commission–accredited community hospital

Serves ~98,000 population
-
Major expansion in 2024: 55 new private rooms, new ICU, 5 ORs, and expanded ED

Job Responsibilities
Ohio license (or willingness to obtain) – Required
BLS & ACLS (or willing to obtain) – Required
DEA (required prior to start; note in submission)
Procedural Competency (Required):
VAD/CV catheter management
FNA/Biopsy
Intrathecal chemotherapy
Intracavitary chemotherapy (intrapleural/peritoneal)
Duties (Required):
Tumor Board participation
Orders tests & imaging
Prescribing responsibilities
Blood Bank involvement
Experience: Minimum 1 year Hem/Onc NP/PA employment in a dedicated Hem/Onc setting
(RN, training hours, or general IM/FM experience do not count)
Telemedicine NOT available – must work on-site
