Job description

Job description Seeking an experienced Hematology/Oncology NP or PA to join its team. The facility is a full-service hospital serving a population of nearly 98,000, featuring a multispecialty group practice of 60+ employed providers. With a new patient care tower opening in 2024, the hospital continues to expand services, offering modern facilities and advanced patient care.

Job Responsibilities

Manage 15–20 outpatients per day and 3–5 inpatients per day.
Participate in outpatient practice with a patient mix of ~25% hematology and 75% oncology.
Provide care for both adult and geriatric patient populations.
Share call coverage (10 days per month, including some weekends).
Perform required procedures including VAD/CV catheter management, FNA/biopsy, and administration of intrathecal/intracavitary chemotherapy.
Participate in tumor board activities, order tests and imaging, prescribe medications, and collaborate with physicians.
Document care using EPIC EMR.

Qualifications

Board Certified NP/PA – Required.
Active Ohio license or ability/willingness to obtain – Required.
ACLS & BLS certification – Required.
DEA (must be obtained prior to start) – Required.
Minimum 1 year of clinical employment experience in a hematology/oncology-specific hospital or clinic setting (not including RN, training, or general practice experience) – Required.
Must live within a 40-mile radius or be willing to relocate.
Strong procedural skills and ability to manage oncology treatments.

Working Hours

Full-time schedule (days; negotiable).
On-call: 10 days per month (including weekends).

Procedural competence (VAD/CV catheters, biopsies, chemotherapy).
Strong clinical decision-making and diagnostic skills.
Collaborative teamwork with physicians and care staff.
Effective communication with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
