Join Our Oncology/Hematology Team in Beautiful Ashtabula, OH!

Ashtabula Regional Medical Center is an established healthcare facility located in Ashtabula, Ohio, right along the picturesque coastline of Lake Erie. We are currently seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to strengthen our Oncology/Hematology department. Our dynamic multispecialty group is part of a fully accredited 186-bed acute care community hospital, dedicated to providing exceptional care to a population of approximately 98,000. The addition of a new patient care tower in 2024 exemplifies our commitment to advancing healthcare services in the region.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage 15-20 patients per day in an outpatient setting.
  • Oversee 3-5 patients per day in a hospital setting.
  • Participate in a full-time negotiable schedule with on-call responsibilities 10 days per month.
  • Provide care to a diverse adult and geriatric patient population.
  • Collaborate with 2 physicians within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Utilize EMR - EPIC for patient management.
  • Focus on 25% Hematology and 75% Oncology cases.

Qualifications:

  • 1+ year of clinical experience as an NP/PA in a Hematology/Oncology-specific clinic or hospital setting.
  • Board Certified NP/PA credential.
  • Experience with specific procedures including management of VAD/CV Catheters, FNA/Biopsy, and various chemotherapy administration routes.
  • Experience with tumor board participation and ordering tests/images.

License and Certification Requirements:

  • Active Ohio NP/PA license (or willingness to obtain).
  • BLS and ACLS certifications (or willingness to obtain).
  • DEA certification must be obtained prior to start.
