A health system is seeking a hematology/oncology nurse practitioner for locum tenens coverage.

This full-time position, starting as soon as credentialed, requires weekday and weekend call duties. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, with 4 clinic days and 1 administrative day (usually 2 half days). The role involves seeing active treatment patients, long-term follow-up patients, and managing chemotherapy education and acute infusion reactions. The position is supported by a team including Hematologists/Oncologists, Advanced Practice Providers, a dietician, social workers, nurse navigators, pharmacist, infusion nurses, triage nurses, clinical secretaries, and palliative care staff. The need for this position is due to a vacancy, and the EMR system used is EPIC.
