Job Title: Nurse Practitioner - Hematology/Oncology

Responsibilities:

Goshen Medical Associates is seeking an experienced and dedicated Nurse Practitioner with a strong background in Oncology and Hematology to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience and a proven track record in providing high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

Chemotherapy Administration:

    • Administer chemotherapy treatments and manage patients during the infusion process.
    • Utilize expertise in oncology nursing to ensure the safe and effective delivery of chemotherapy regimens.

Collaboration with Physicians:

    • Work closely with physicians to follow up on patients seen by the medical team.
    • Assist in writing and managing chemotherapy orders under the supervision of physicians.

Infusion Unit Rounding:

    • Conduct rounds in the infusion center to proactively address patient concerns and manage potential side effects.
    • Reduce the number of patient messages by providing timely follow-up care.
On-Call Responsibilities:
  • Share on-call responsibilities, participating in a rotation with other healthcare providers.
  • Provide support every 3rd weekend with physician backup available for assistance.

Qualifications:

  • Current Nurse Practitioner license in NYS.
  • Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner with a focus on Oncology/Hematology.
  • Minimum of 3 years of practical experience in an Oncology setting.
  • Proficient in chemotherapy administration and related protocols.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with the medical team.
