New York Cancer & Blood Specialists seeks a Board-Certified Hematology/Oncology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Telephone Triage Center in Ridge, NY.

Responsibilities and Requirements
In this role, the Advanced Practice Provider will help lead a telephone triage center operated by a dynamic team of nurses. It’s an initiative focused on improving call management, increasing access to care, and reducing patient wait times.

  • Help manage the delivery of Urgent Call nursing services for hematology/oncology & primary care patients.
  • Coordinate prescription refills, assess & evaluate care needs of the calls; provide education to patients as well as to your colleagues.
  • Evaluate the operations of the telephone triage center and identify and address opportunities for improvement.
  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program.
  • Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) Licensure/Physician’s Assistant License.
  • One year of experience in Oncology/Hematology is helpful.
  • Strong computer skills and experience in EMR are beneficial.
