Geriatric Nurse Practitioner- Orange County, NY
Location: Orange County, NY (Port Jervis & Middletown)
Employment Type: Full-Time | On-Site | No Nights | No weekends
Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Geriatric Nurse Practitioner to provide high-quality primary care to residents in assisted living communities. This position offers meaningful patient relationships, clinical autonomy, and a schedule designed to prevent burnout.
No nights. No weekends. No burnout.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive health assessments and examinations
- Perform medication reviews and manage chronic and acute conditions
- Order and interpret labs and diagnostic testing
- Prescribe medications within NP scope of practice
- Educate residents and families on health maintenance and independence
- Maintain accurate documentation using eClinicalWorks
Qualifications:
- Master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Active New York State Nurse Practitioner license
- DEA registration
- Eligible for Medicare/Medicaid billing
- Minimum 3 years of clinical experience (geriatric or long-term care preferred)
- Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-centered approach
