A facility in Mobile, AL is seeking a Locum Nurse Practitioner to start as soon as credentialed for a 6-month assignment with possibility of extension.

  • HIGHLY COMPETITIVE COMPENSATION.
  • 1099 Locum Tenens Assignment.

Details:

  • Target Start: As soon as credentialed.
  • Duration of Need: 6 months w/ possibility of extension.
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday + night and weekend call.
  • Provide primary medical coverage in collaboration with PO physicians as needed.
  • Performs initial, semi-annual, and annual assessments, performs additional assessments of participants as needed and implements appropriate plans of care to PO participants.
  • Participates in discharge planning for acute and long-term placement.
  • Evaluate and treat participants during acute illness. Prudently prescribes medications, therapies, and other treatments for participants. Following consultation with the Primary Care Physician refers participants to medical specialist as indicated.

Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree in Nursing.
  • Board Certified by ANCC or AANP.
  • Active Alabama license.
  • 5+ years of experience.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working with the frail or elderly population is strongly preferred.
  • BLS, CDS/CSR, DEA.
