Job description
An established Gastroenterology team is seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive GI care across outpatient clinic and inpatient settings. This role offers an excellent blend of autonomy, collaboration, and continuity of care while working alongside experienced gastroenterologists and multidisciplinary teams.
The ideal provider is passionate about digestive health, chronic disease management, and patient-centered care in a fast-paced specialty environment.
Job Responsibilities
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic gastrointestinal conditions
• Order, interpret, and review labs, imaging, and diagnostic studies
• Develop individualized treatment and follow-up care plans
• Prescribe medications and manage treatment regimens
• Educate patients on GI disorders, procedures, medications, and preventive care
• Coordinate care with gastroenterologists and healthcare teams
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation (EPIC experience preferred)
• Participate in inpatient coverage and rotating call schedules as needed
Qualifications
• Active Idaho license or ability to obtain
• Master’s degree required
• Minimum 1 year Gastroenterology experience required
• Experience in clinic, hospital, ER, urgent care, family medicine, or specialty care preferred
• Strong communication and clinical decision-making skills
• Ability to thrive in collaborative multidisciplinary environments
Working Hours
• Clinic Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Inpatient rotations based on coverage needs
• Occasional night call
