An established and physician-led multi-specialty medical group in the scenic Hudson Valley is seeking an experienced Gastroenterology Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to join a collaborative GI team in New Windsor, New York.
This role offers a balanced mix of outpatient clinical care and hospital-based collaboration, allowing the provider to manage diverse gastrointestinal conditions while working alongside experienced gastroenterologists in a supportive and collegial environment. The practice emphasizes patient-centered care, provider autonomy, and flexible scheduling options designed to support work-life balance.
Job Responsibilities
• Perform patient consultations in outpatient clinic and hospital settings
• Coordinate pre- and post-procedure care for endoscopic procedures
• Collaborate closely with gastroenterology physicians to optimize patient outcomes
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and prescribe appropriate medications
• Educate patients regarding GI conditions, treatment plans, and preventive care
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records and ensure quality documentation
• Participate in team-based care initiatives to improve patient outcomes
Qualifications
• Current Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in New York State
• DEA certification
• Minimum 2–3 years of gastroenterology experience
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care
Preferred
• Experience managing inflammatory bowel disease, liver disease, or GI motility disorders
• Hospital privileges or willingness to obtain
• Bilingual proficiency (Spanish preferred)
