A well-established, physician-led multispecialty medical group in New Windsor, NY is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its growing Gastroenterology team.

This full-time opportunity offers the chance to practice in a collaborative, patient-centered environment within the scenic Hudson Valley region. The ideal candidate will be experienced in managing gastrointestinal conditions and motivated to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care in both outpatient and coordinated hospital settings.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for gastrointestinal conditions and preventive screenings
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Provide outpatient GI consultations
• Coordinate hospital-based care when necessary
• Manage pre- and post-procedure care for endoscopic procedures
• Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic studies
• Prescribe medications in accordance with state regulations
• Educate patients on diagnosis, treatment plans, and preventive care
• Maintain accurate documentation in EMR systems
• Collaborate closely with gastroenterology physicians and care teams

Qualifications

• Active NP or PA license in New York State – Required
• DEA certification – Required
• Minimum 2–3 years of gastroenterology experience – Required
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills – Required
• Hospital privileges (or willingness to obtain) – Preferred
• Experience managing IBD, liver disease, or GI motility disorders – Preferred
• Bilingual (Spanish) – Preferred
• Commitment to patient-centered, compassionate care

Working Hours

• Full-time position
• Primarily outpatient schedule
