Southeast Georgia Health System is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our outpatient Gastroenterology team in beautiful St. Marys, Georgia. This is an excellent opportunity to practice in a collaborative, physician led environment while enjoying a coastal lifestyle just minutes from the water!
The GI APP will provide outpatient care to adult patients in a well established gastroenterology practice. This role focuses on evaluation, diagnosis, treatment and follow up care for a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions. The position offers a predictable weekday schedule with no inpatient responsibilities.

Job Responsibilities
• Diagnose and manage common GI conditions such as GERD, IBS, IBD, liver disease and colorectal disorders
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging
• Develop and manage treatment plans in collaboration with gastroenterologists
• Provide patient education and counseling
• Document care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record
• Coordinate care with physicians, nurses and support staff
Qualifications
• Board certified or board eligible
• Georgia licensure or ability to obtain
• Experience in gastroenterology preferred, but not required
• Strong communication skills and a patient centered approach to care
Working Hours
• Monday through Friday schedule
• No nights, weekends or call
• Supportive clinical and administrative team
