Our client is a private practice Gastroenterology clinic that is currently seeking to hire a Nurse Practitioner with prior experience in a Gastro setting.
Experience in Gastroenterology is required.
Bilingual candidates with fluency in Spanish are preferred but not required.
This is a full-time on-site position in one of the most vibrant neighborhoods in Northern Brooklyn.

EDUCATION
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and an accredited nurse practitioner program, usually at the master’s degree level.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Prior Gastroenterology experience required
  • Spanish speaking is preferred but not required
  • Current and unrestricted state license as a Registered Nurse and required state authority to practice as a nurse practitioner
  • At least one year experience as a nurse practitioner in a clinical setting
  • CPR as required by client facility; health and screening tests as required by specific facilities and / or regulatory agencies

NURSE PRACTITIONER OR PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Be an integral part of medical team, providing exceptional primary care to the patients

· Interact with patients from various backgrounds, playing a crucial role in their health journey

· Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and assessments of patients

· Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, injuries, and conditions

· Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the healthcare team

· Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory and imaging studies

· Prescribe medications and other treatments as necessary

· Perform minor procedures, such as suturing wounds or removing sutures

· Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical documentation
