Job Summary:

The Department of Gastroenterology at HCA Houston Healthcare Conroe is seeking an experienced nurse practitioner to support with inpatient GI consults and follow ups.

Qualified Candidates:
  • Develop protocols and plans of treatment under physician supervision
  • Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm
  • Must be people-oriented and willing to learn
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills to work with a diverse patient population
  • Expected to work with various providers on the medical staff averaging 15-20 IP consults a week
  • Certified nurse practitioner with prescriptive authority required
  • Must be eligible for licensure in the state of Texas
  • 3 plus years’ experience is preferred and work experience with patients in a hospital setting
