Nurse Practitioner (NP) - Rochester, New York

A unique opportunity awaits to join a 16-bed acuity-adaptable Pediatric Cardiac Care Center dedicated to caring for critically ill pediatric congenital cardiac patients. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment, managing patients with complex cardiac anatomy and physiology. This role offers a rotating shift schedule with no days and nights in the same week, focusing on the primary care provider role within a supportive team.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage pre- and post-operative pediatric cardiac surgical patients with high-risk single ventricle physiology.
• Provide support for open chest management, arrhythmia management, vasopressor support, external and internal pacemakers, VA/VV ECMO, and CRRT.
• Collaborate with a diverse team, including physicians, nurses, and respiratory therapists, to provide excellent patient care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Pediatric Cardiac ICU as an Advanced Practice Provider.
• Master’s degree as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Active New York State Registered Nurse license and Nurse Practitioner licensure in good standing.
• Current national certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
• BLS from American Heart Association and PALS from American Board of Anesthesiology.
• Preferred: Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner certification.

Working Hours

• Rotating shifts consisting of 50% days and 50% nights.
• On-call and callback duties are required.
