Family Nurse Practitioner

Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Family Nurse Practitioner and make a meaningful impact in the psychiatric inpatient setting. This position offers an exciting opportunity to provide comprehensive care to patients ranging from age 10 to the elderly, primarily working in an inpatient psychiatric unit. The role involves intermittent weekend, evening, and holiday coverage, primarily through remote beeper call. This forecasting position is expected to last approximately one year, offering a dynamic environment for experienced providers committed to patient well-being.

Required Skills:
  • Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC)
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in family medicine or psychiatric settings
  • Ability to practice independently in Massachusetts
  • Strong assessment and clinical decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities
  • Ability to handle call duties remotely via beeper system

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience working in inpatient psychiatric units
  • CPR/Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
  • Bilingual proficiency
  • Experience with crisis intervention or de-escalation techniques

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing (MSN or DNP)
  • Over 2 years of direct clinical practice in a family or psychiatric healthcare setting
  • Current licensure to practice independently in Massachusetts

Other Requirements:
  • CPI (Crisis Prevention and Intervention) training completion required prior to start
  • Ability to handle remote call responsibilities during designated shifts
  • Must adhere to all privacy and confidentiality regulations
  • Availability to work intermittent weekends, evenings, and holidays
