Overview

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner for an urgent locum tenens opportunity in Fresno, California. This position supports an outpatient, adults-only practice with a structured schedule of fully booked appointments. The provider will work independently as the solo clinician in the clinic, supported by an experienced clinical and administrative team.

Practice Setting

• Outpatient adult primary care clinic
• Adults-only patient population
• Fully scheduled patient appointments
• 4 exam rooms in clinic
• Dedicated clinical and administrative support staff
• Supervising physician available as required by state regulations

Schedule

• Full-time locum assignment
• Start date: March 16, 2026
• Minimum 3-month contract (6 months preferred)
• All visits scheduled in advance

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care services to adult patients
• Conduct patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and manage ongoing care
• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions
• Order and interpret diagnostic testing as appropriate
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Collaborate with clinic staff to ensure efficient patient care and workflow

Qualifications

• Board Certified Nurse Practitioner
• Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (AGNP) accepted
• Active and unrestricted California NP license
• DEA certification required
• BLS certification required
• 3–5 years of clinical experience minimum
• Comfortable working independently as the primary provider in clinic
