Tucson Medical Center (TMC) is recruiting an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner to join our employed medical group, TMCOne, as a Same Day Provider. TMCOne is Tucson’s premier physician group, with primary and specialty care locations throughout the region, from Oro Valley to Vail.
This Same Day Provider role supports access to care by seeing patients with non-emergent, urgent health concerns on a same-day basis, allowing patients to avoid unnecessary emergency room or urgent care visits. Providers practice using Epic, a fully integrated, top-rated electronic medical record system, and work alongside trained, reliable support staff in a collaborative outpatient environment.
TMC is Southern Arizona’s only community-owned hospital, with 630 beds, dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-centered care that makes a meaningful difference in the community.
Compensation Range: $120,000 – $150,000 (commensurate with experience)
Job Responsibilities
Provide same‑day evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for non‑emergency urgent conditions
See patients within designated TMCOne primary care clinics, including La Cañada and Oracle
Utilize patients’ existing medical records to deliver coordinated, efficient care
Order and interpret diagnostic tests, develop treatment plans, and prescribe medications as appropriate
Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and clinical support staff
Document care accurately and timely within the Epic EMR
Promote high standards of patient satisfaction and quality of care
Qualifications
Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) certification required
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner
Active or eligible Arizona NP license
DEA registration required
Newly graduated Nurse Practitioners are not being considered for this role
Working Hours
Full‑time, outpatient schedule
Same‑day coverage within primary care clinics
No inpatient responsibilities
No overnight shifts
