Required Skills:
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license in Texas
- Experience in General Medicine, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or similar fields
- Ability to perform interview-based assessments and physical examinations, including range of motion and muscle strength testing
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills to manage documentation and reports accurately
Nice to Have Skills:
- Prior experience with Compensation & Pension exams or veteran-related assessments
- Familiarity with veteran healthcare protocols and requirements
- Bilingual abilities for enhanced communication with diverse patient populations
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical practice, preferably in a primary care or general medicine setting
- Previous experience in a locum or temporary position is advantageous
Other Requirements:
- Ability to work flexible hours including half-day (4-hour) or full-day (8-hour) shifts
- Willingness to travel within a 50-mile radius of Houston, TX, for different assignment locations
- Must have own office space for practice or be prepared for on-site assignments at VES facilities, depending on the assignment
- Certification in BLS or ACLS preferred but not mandatory
- Willingness to complete required training and onboarding processes promptly
