Are you a dedicated Nurse Practitioner with a passion for serving Veterans and a desire for flexible, rewarding assignments? We are seeking experienced and motivated General Medicine Providers to perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments across the country. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact while maintaining control over your schedule and location.
As a key member of our team, you will conduct interview-based assessments with some physical examinations, including range of motion and muscle strength testing. This role involves no prescribing or treatment, focusing solely on evaluations critical to Veterans’ wellbeing. The position offers flexible hours—half-day or full-day shifts—and an immediate onboarding process to get you started quickly.

Required Skills:
- Valid Nurse Practitioner licensure in Texas
- Proven clinical experience in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine
- Ability to perform detailed assessments and follow protocols
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Competence in physical examination procedures related to assessments
Nice to Have Skills:
- Prior experience with Compensation & Pension evaluations
- Familiarity with veterans’ healthcare needs and assessment procedures
- Certification in relevant specialty areas
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited institution
- Minimum 2 years of clinical practice experience
- Prior experience in evaluation or assessment roles preferred but not mandatory
Other Requirements:
- Own or access to a healthcare office within 50 miles of your location (certain assignments require an established office)
- Ability to travel locally; travel costs included in the hourly rates
- Successful completion of training and credentialing process
- Immediate availability for PRN, ongoing assignments
Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive hourly rates:
- Half-day (up to 4 hours): $600 flat rate
- Full-day (5 hours or more): $1,200 flat rate
- One-time bonus of $650 upon completion of initial training and first exams
- Weekly pay via direct deposit
