This is a full-time, permanent outpatient opportunity—no locums or visa sponsorship—ideal for an APRN who values autonomy while working within a multidisciplinary care team.

Position Overview

As a Nurse Practitioner (APRN) in an outpatient family medicine setting, you will:

  • Independently perform medical acts in accordance with Vermont APRN licensure standards

  • Provide comprehensive primary care to individuals and families across the lifespan

  • Emphasize health promotion, disease prevention, and whole-person wellness

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic conditions

  • Educate patients and families to support informed healthcare decisions

  • Identify specialized teaching and learning needs

  • Collaborate closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, medical assistants, and administrative staff

  • Contribute leadership and clinical expertise within the care team

  • Support efficient and cost-effective daily practice operations

  • Participate in ongoing professional development and continuing education

You will work within a well-established regional medical group that includes specialties such as family practice, pediatrics, OB/GYN, cardiology, orthopedics, urology, general surgery, and post-acute care—ensuring strong referral networks and collaborative support.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $120,000 – $140,000 annually

    • Based on experience, education, internal equity, and market factors

  • Full-time position (1.0 FTE, 40 hours/week)

  • Exempt status

  • Collaborative and multidisciplinary outpatient environment

Candidate Requirements

Required:

  • Master’s Degree from an accredited Adult Nurse Practitioner program

  • Current Vermont APRN License (or ability to obtain prior to start)

  • DEA License

  • Healthcare Provider CPR Certification

  • Qualified for credentialing by medical staff

  • Clean malpractice history

  • Most recent NPDB Self-Query report (within 30 days at presentation)

Highly Preferred:

  • National board certification as an Adult, Family, or Pediatric NP

  • Two years of nursing experience prior to advanced degree
