Brattleboro Memorial Hospital / Southern Vermont Health Services Corporation is seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner (APRN) to join our collaborative and multidisciplinary medical group at Brattleboro Family Medicine. Located in the picturesque town of Brattleboro, Vermont, our facility provides comprehensive outpatient primary care services, focusing on health promotion, disease prevention, and overall wellness.

Job Responsibilities:

• Independently perform medical acts in accordance with APRN licensure standards in an outpatient primary care setting.
• Provide comprehensive nursing and medical care to individuals, families, and groups.
• Focus on health promotion, disease prevention, and overall wellness.
• Deliver leadership and consultation within the care team.
• Collaborate with patients, families, nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
• Identify and address specialized teaching and learning needs of patients and families.
• Provide education to support informed healthcare decision-making.
• Maintain a safe and efficient clinical environment for patients and staff.
• Support daily practice operations in a cost-effective manner.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and continuing education.
• Identify personal learning needs and establish goals for professional growth.
• Work within a respected medical group that includes a variety of specialties.
• Collaborate with physicians, licensed providers, LPNs/medical assistants, and clerical staff.
• Note: Not open to candidates who commute more than 1 hour or require visa support.

Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree from an accredited Adult Nurse Practitioner program (required).
• Current Vermont APRN License (or ability to obtain, required).
• Certification as Adult, Family, or Pediatric NP by a national organization recognized by the VT Board of Nursing (highly preferred).
• Healthcare Provider CPR Certification (required).
• DEA License (required).
• Qualified for credentialing by BMH Medical Staff (required).
• Two years of nursing experience prior to advanced degree (highly preferred).
• Clean malpractice history (required).
• Recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days active, required).
• Permanent placement fee notice (required).

License and Certification Requirements:

• Current Vermont APRN License.
• Certification as an Adult, Family, or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (highly preferred).
• Healthcare Provider CPR Certification.
• DEA License.
