Required Skills:
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license in Texas
- Proven experience in general medicine, family medicine, internal medicine, or related fields
- Strong interviewing and physical assessment skills
- Ability to perform compensation and pension examinations and health assessments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with ability to follow established protocols
- Proficiency in documentation and report submission
Nice to Have Skills:
- Prior experience with veterans or military-related assessments
- Knowledge of compensation & pension exam procedures
- Certification in specific medical assessments or certifications like DMA (optional)
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing (MSN or DNP)
- Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in general medicine
- Prior experience in a locum or temporary healthcare position preferred
Other Requirements:
- Must have own office within 50 miles of Houston, TX (for providers seeing patients at their own practice)
- Ability to travel locally as needed
- Ability to complete required training and exams promptly
- Compliance with all state and federal healthcare regulations
