Required Skills:
  • Valid Nurse Practitioner license in Texas
  • Proven experience in general medicine, family medicine, internal medicine, or related fields
  • Strong interviewing and physical assessment skills
  • Ability to perform compensation and pension examinations and health assessments
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented with ability to follow established protocols
  • Proficiency in documentation and report submission

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Prior experience with veterans or military-related assessments
  • Knowledge of compensation & pension exam procedures
  • Certification in specific medical assessments or certifications like DMA (optional)

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing (MSN or DNP)
  • Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in general medicine
  • Prior experience in a locum or temporary healthcare position preferred

Other Requirements:
  • Must have own office within 50 miles of Houston, TX (for providers seeing patients at their own practice)
  • Ability to travel locally as needed
  • Ability to complete required training and exams promptly
  • Compliance with all state and federal healthcare regulations
