Job Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive primary and urgent care services to students.
  • Conduct thorough health histories and physical examinations.
  • Diagnose medical conditions and develop treatment plans.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications and therapies.
  • Provide routine gynecologic exams and contraceptive counseling.
  • Emphasize patient-centered care and timely access to services.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members.
  • Educate students on diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive care.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record.

Qualifications

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing, certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
  • Current national certification (ANCC or AANP).
  • Active, unrestricted RN and NP license in New York State.
  • Minimum of 3,600 clinical practice hours or approximately 2 years full-time experience.
  • Prescriptive authority and DEA eligibility required.
  • Must be BLS certified.

Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

  • Strong clinical and diagnostic skills for acute, episodic, and select chronic conditions.
  • Excellent communication and patient education abilities.
  • Ability to practice with a high degree of clinical autonomy.
  • Proficiency in electronic health recordkeeping.
  • Collaborative skills for working within an interdisciplinary team.
