General Medicine Provider Nurse Practitioner

Seeking General Medicine providers to perform non-treatment Compensation & Pension (C&P) exams and Separation Health Assessments for Veterans on a PRN, ongoing basis. Exams are primarily interview-based with limited physical assessments and involve no prescribing or treatment.

Practice Setting & Coverage Options

• Provider’s own office (required for these openings; no VES facility in the area)

• Office must be within the preferred mileage radius of the listed locations

• Current needs:

  • Pine Bluff, AR: 2 days per week (preferred within 15 miles)

  • Forrest City, AR: 1 day per week (preferred within 40 miles)

Schedule & Work Structure

• PRN, ongoing coverage

• Option for half-day (4-hour) or full-day (8-hour) shifts

• Local candidates only

• Quick credentialing and onboarding

Responsibilities

• Conduct one-time C&P exams and separation health assessments

• Perform interview-based evaluations with some physical assessments (e.g., range of motion, muscle strength)

• Complete required documentation, reports, addendums, and medical opinions

• Review diagnostics as needed

• Internal Medicine

• Providers with a general medicine background or C&P exam experience

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Active, unrestricted Arkansas medical license

• AANP certification

• Proficiency in METs testing and evaluation of respiratory and cardiovascular conditions

• Willingness to complete DMA training and become DMA certified

• Must own a non-Apple laptop

• CV must include current home address

• Self-Query NPDB (within the last month)

• ECFMG certificate required if medical school was outside the U.S.
