Nurse Practitioner – Outpatient Internal Medicine (Locums-to-Perm Opportunity)

Location: Dallas, TX
Pay Rate: $75–$85 per hour
Contract Type: Ongoing Locums Contract with potential to transition to Full-Time in February 2026

Position Overview

An outpatient internal medicine clinic is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide part-time coverage on an ongoing locums basis. This role supports an established practice caring for adult and geriatric patients with chronic disease management needs. The position offers flexible afternoon hours initially, with the option to ramp up to full-time as early as February 2026.

Schedule & Assignment Details

• Start Date: ASAP

• Hours: Monday–Friday

  • Initially: 2–4 hours per afternoon

  • Potential (Feb 2026): 6–8 hours per day, full-time

• Call: None

• Patient Volume: Approx. 2–3 patients per hour

• Patient Type: Adult & geriatric population

• Visit Type: Scheduled visits (no walk-ins)

Clinical Responsibilities

• Outpatient evaluation and management of chronic medical conditions

• Medication management

• Collaboration with on-site internal medicine providers and clinical support staff

• Utilize eClinicalWorks EMR (dictation capability may be available)

Requirements

• Nurse Practitioner – Board Eligible or Board Certified

• Experience in Adult Medicine, Geriatrics, or Family Medicine

• DEA and BLS required

• Must provide CV and clear NPDB/OIG results

• Phone interview required as part of the selection process

• Opportunity to transition to full-time employment in February 2026, based on clinic needs and provider interest
