We are seeking an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner for a 28-day locum tenens assignment in Virginia. This opportunity starts on Jan 5, 2026, with day shifts scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. The ideal candidate will bring at least 2 years of outpatient family practice experience and hold a current DEA certification.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide comprehensive outpatient care to patients in a family practice setting
  • Assess, diagnose, and manage common acute and chronic illnesses
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor patient progress
  • Prescribe medications and manage medication regimens in accordance with DEA regulations
  • Educate patients and families on preventive care and health maintenance
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes


Additional Information

  • Must have an active Virginia nurse practitioner license
  • At least 2 years of outpatient family practice experience required
  • DEA certification required
