Job Overview – Nurse Practitioner (Family or Adult Medicine):
Compensation: $74 – $94/hour
Location: Prince George, VA
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
TAG MedStaffing is hiring a Nurse Practitioner (Family or Adult Medicine) in Prince George, VA for our client. You will provide comprehensive primary care, assess patients, manage acute and chronic conditions, and deliver preventive services. You will also document in the EHR, coordinate care, and collaborate with clinical staff in a patient-centered practice model.

TAG MedStaffing is hiring a Nurse Practitioner (Family or Adult Medicine) in Prince George, VA for our client. You will provide comprehensive primary care, assess patients, manage acute and chronic conditions, and deliver preventive services. You will also document in the EHR, coordinate care, and collaborate with clinical staff in a patient-centered practice model.
Responsibilities as the Nurse Practitioner:
- Patient Evaluation & Treatment: Perform comprehensive assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop evidence-based treatment plans for acute, chronic, and preventive care needs.
- Primary Care & Medication Management: Diagnose conditions, manage chronic diseases, prescribe medications, and provide patient education to support effective treatment and health maintenance.
- Care Coordination: Refer patients to specialists when necessary and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and care teams to ensure continuity and high-quality patient-centered care.
- Quality & Compliance: Participate in quality assurance initiatives, follow clinical protocols, and maintain accurate and timely documentation, coding, and billing in the electronic health record.
- Professional Development & Coverage: Maintain required certifications, pursue continuing education, and provide after-hours or on-call support as needed within organizational guidelines.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing school and an approved Nurse Practitioner program required (Family or Adult Medicine).
- Licensure & Certification: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license and Nurse Practitioner certification in the State of Virginia required (DEA eligibility preferred).
- Experience: 3-5 years of clinical nursing experience with at least 2 years as a practicing Nurse Practitioner in primary care or related outpatient settings preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and strong understanding of clinical documentation, coding, and billing workflows.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of primary care delivery, chronic disease management, preventive care, and patient-centered medical home principles.
- Skills & Attributes: Compassionate and patient-focused clinician with strong communication skills, professionalism under pressure, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
