Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner – Urgent Care
Location: Alice, TX | Schedule: Full-Time
NextCare Urgent Care is expanding our providers in Alice, Texas, and we are seeking an experienced Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our walk-in urgent care team. This role includes a full-scope urgent care environment with occupational medicine services.
• Procedures commonly include: laceration repair, I&D, splinting, wound care, foreign body removal
• See all ages — pediatrics through geriatrics
• X-ray review and point-of-care diagnostics
• Fast-paced, team-based clinical environment
• Supportive onboarding and strong clinical leadership
• NCCPA or AANP/ANCC certification (FNP required for all-ages care)
• DEA or eligibility to obtain
• BLS certified
• Competent caring for pediatrics to geriatrics
• Ability to work weekends/holidays as part of a rotation
• Willingness to obtain DOT certification (covered by NextCare)
• Confident procedural skill set and clinical autonomy
• Strong communication and patient experience skills

Requirements
• Active and unrestricted Texas PA or NP license• NCCPA or AANP/ANCC certification (FNP required for all-ages care)
• DEA or eligibility to obtain
• BLS certified
• Competent caring for pediatrics to geriatrics
• Ability to work weekends/holidays as part of a rotation
• Willingness to obtain DOT certification (covered by NextCare)
Preferred
• 1+ year urgent care or emergency medicine experience• Confident procedural skill set and clinical autonomy
• Strong communication and patient experience skills
