Job description

Job description We are seeking an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner for a 6-week locum tenens opportunity in Mississippi, starting Dec 3, 2025. This assignment features a Monday and Tuesday schedule, with extended hours on Monday and a half-day on Tuesday. The ideal candidate will have a background in family practice and must be credentialed with Medicaid, Medicare, and major private insurers.

Job Details

  • LOA: 6 weeks
  • Provider Type Needed: Family Nurse Practitioner
  • Schedule: First week: Wednesday and Thursday; Subsequent weeks: Monday 8:00/9:00am–7:00pm, Tuesday 8:00am–12:00pm

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Conduct initial patient visits and follow-up appointments
  • Diagnose and manage common conditions such as cold, cough, flu, diabetes, and hypertension
  • Provide general family practice care across a diverse patient population
  • Coordinate laboratory work through LabCorp; no in-house blood draws required
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable clinical protocols and documentation standards

Additional Information
  • Active Mississippi Nurse Practitioner license required
  • DEA certification is mandatory
  • Must be credentialed with Medicaid and Medicare, as well as BlueCross Blue Shield, Track Health, United Healthcare, and Magnolia
  • COVID vaccines are not part of this assignment
