TinkBird Healthcare Staffing is seeking experienced Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants to join a community-based Primary Care practice as a Locum Provider serving an underserved rural population in North Carolina. This is an excellent opportunity for providers passionate about full-spectrum Family or Internal Medicine and dedicated to improving access to care.
Position Highlights
Job Type: Locums, or Temp-to-Perm
Specialties: Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
Setting: Outpatient Primary Care, treating all ages
Team Environment: Work alongside a collaborative team of MAs, LPNs, and RNs
Average Daily Patient Volume: 16–18
EMR: EPIC
Credentialing Timeline: ~1 month (Medicare/Medicaid enrollment required)
Additional Details
Assignment length (for locums): 5–8 months
Dress code: Scrubs and/or business casual with lab coat; closed-toe shoes required
Interview: Virtual meeting with leadership and clinical team required prior to confirmation

Qualifications
Licensed to practice in North Carolina with current DEA
Prior enrollment in Medicare/Medicaid required
Previous primary care experience required
BLS certification (minimum)
Comfortable providing care to patients across the lifespan
Ability to work in a rural, underserved environment
Active NC License
Working Hours
Start Date: ASAP
Weekly Hours:
Monday: 7AM–7PM
Tuesday & Wednesday: 8AM–5PM
Thursday: 7AM–7PM
Friday: 8AM–1PM
Saturday: 8AM–12PM
1-hour lunch breaks provided
Call rotation required every 8–10 weeks
Weekend schedule involved; closed on holidays
No telehealth responsibilities
