Job Responsibilities

  • Perform consults on surgical patients, conducting risk assessments and gathering medical information.
  • Write full consult notes for surgery days.
  • Report abnormal labs and tests to the medical director.
  • Address questions and concerns from clinic RNs and escalate issues to the medical director as needed.

Qualifications

  • Active CA DEA and CA license.
  • At least 50 clinical services or assessments in an acute care hospital within the last 24 months.
  • Two years of current hospital clinical activity.

Working Hours

  • Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
  • Overtime applicable after 8 hours per day

Skills

  • Strong communication and consultative skills.
  • Ability to efficiently evaluate and summarize patient information.
  • Competence in collaborating with medical staff and directing logistical resolutions.
