We are seeking an experienced Neurocritical Care Nurse Practitioner for a 14-day locum tenens assignment in Arkansas. This opportunity begins on Dec 14, 2025, and involves providing nighttime coverage in a 28-bed Neuro ICU with 12-hour shifts from 7p to 7a. The candidate will manage critical and high-acuity patients, including cases of stroke, brain and head trauma, aneurysm, and encephalitis. This assignment is suitable for advanced practice professionals who are skilled in neurocritical care and comfortable working independently in a high-acuity intensive care environment.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide nighttime coverage for a Neuro ICU
  • Manage and monitor critical and high-acuity patients
  • Oversee care for patients with stroke, brain/head trauma, aneurysm, and encephalitis
  • Perform timely assessments and initiate appropriate interventions
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
  • Ensure accurate documentation and follow clinical protocols


Additional Information

  • Must have critical care experience as a Nurse Practitioner
  • Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) certification required
  • Must hold or be eligible for licensure in Arkansas
