Job description
We are seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner for a locum tenens assignment in Alaska, starting Mar 27, 2026. This 186-day contract features day shifts from 8am to 4:30pm, plus on-call weekend and weeknight coverage. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of experience and is comfortable working as the sole provider in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with Cerner EMR is required, and there will be an orientation or shadowing period prior to the start date, which may be expedited if necessary.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Assess and manage patients in a dynamic, fast-paced clinical setting
- Deliver comprehensive primary care services as a Family Nurse Practitioner
- Adapt to seasonal fluctuations in patient volume and acuity
- Serve as sole provider or work independently as needed
- Complete documentation using Cerner EMR
Additional Information
- Active Alaska license required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and DEA certifications required
- Family Nurse Practitioner Certification (FNP) required
- Orientation/shadowing required prior to start, may be expedited
- At least 2 years of relevant experience preferred
