Position Overview
One of our Partners is seeking an experienced Wound Care Nurse Practitioner for a 13-week outpatient assignment from December 8, 2025 to March 7, 2026. The provider will support a high-volume wound care clinic performing advanced procedures including sharp debridement, biopsies, biologic graft applications, and total contact casting.
This assignment ranks in the Top 10% of 2025 market compensation for outpatient Wound Care NP locum roles, offering strong earning potential based on a consistent four-day-per-week schedule.
Assignment Highlights

Coverage Dates: 12/08/2025 – 03/07/2026 (13 weeks)

Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday

Daily Hours: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

Orientation: 4 hours (non-billable)

Setting: Outpatient Wound Care Clinic

Daily Census: Up to 20 patients/day (20-minute appointment slots)

Patient Population: All ages, neonates to geriatrics

Skills & Experience
-
Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner
-
Wound Care Certification required
-
Strong background in debridement, grafting, and casting

Experience in outpatient wound care settings

EPIC experience preferred
Job Responsibilities

Perform full-scope wound care assessments and treatments

Conduct sharp debridement, biopsies, and graft placement

Apply and manage total contact casts

Manage chronic and complex wounds across all age groups

Coordinate care with physicians and wound-care specialists

Document all encounters and orders in EPIC
-
Provide education to patients and caregivers on wound management and prevention
