Role Overview:
As a Physician Assistant in our urgent care centers, you will operate as the primary provider for patients requiring urgent medical attention. You will be responsible for managing a broad spectrum of cases, performing minor procedures, and ensuring a positive patient experience. This role offers the chance to work independently within a collaborative support team, utilizing your clinical expertise to serve community needs effectively. Flexibility in location support within a 65-mile radius is expected, with competitive hourly compensation.

Required Skills:
  • Minimum of 12 months of recent urgent care or emergency medicine experience
  • Board certification through NCCPA, Family NP Certification, or equivalent
  • Proficiency with Epic EMR system and experience with minor procedures such as I&D, lac repairs, and ear irrigation
  • Ability to assess and treat both adult and pediatric patients (6 months and up)
  • Strong soft skills, including excellent communication, bedside manner, and teamwork
  • BLS certification required
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently as the sole provider in the center

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience with pediatric urgent care
  • Additional certifications (e.g., ACLS, PALS)
  • Prior experience working in high-volume settings (up to 40 patients per day)
  • Familiarity with offsite supervision protocols

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Graduate degree as a Physician Assistant or Family Nurse Practitioner from an accredited program
  • 1+ year of urgent care, emergency medicine, or family practice experience preferred

Other Requirements:
  • Must be able to work with EPIC EMR system, completing a modified training schedule before independent shifts
  • Availability to support multiple locations within a 65-mile radius of your residence
  • Access to reliable transportation for location coverage
  • No travel or lodging reimbursement; only mileage allowed
  • Ability to pass credentialing and onboarding processes, including Medicare enrollment
