About the job:
We are seeking an experienced primary care Nurse Practitioner for the San Francisco office. This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday, onsite, traditional business hours. We need someone who is open to RN duties infused into an NP role - they're functioning both as a provider and doing the clinical scope too, like labs, IVs, house calls during business hours.
Responsibilities:
- Provide primary care in a low-volume setting that values quality over throughput, from comprehensive annual exams, to urgent care visits, to detailed longitudinal follow-up of care plans, with an emphasis on prevention and lifestyle medicine.
- Care may be in person, or via telehealth, phone, or electronic communications.
- Autonomous, as well as directed, supported, and collaborative decision making around diagnosis, treatment plans, and logistical problem solving.
- You will have direct interaction with patients, consulting providers, and sub-specialists.
- You will be responsible for treatment planning, communication (written and verbal) with patients and other care providers, and in follow-up.
- Administrative support will include coordinating appointments with outside specialists and facilities, prior authorizations, occasional medical records support, and coordination of care through members' personal and executive assistants
- Under the direction of the CMO, collaborate on quality and systems improvement projects.
Requirements:
- Education: Master's degree in nursing.
- License and certification: Active California RN license, board certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP), OR Certified Physician Assistant issued by the Physician Assistant Board of the Medical Board of California. Must have BLS certification.
- Years of experience: A minimum of two (2) years of experience in a primary care setting.
- Must have strong phlebotomy and IV skills.
