Exciting NP opportunity working at the US Embassy in Baghdad!
Job at a glance
Job description
We have an excellent opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner to provide services at the US Embassy in Baghdad, Iraq for a one-year period.
Services are to be provided for an initial service period of 160 days, followed by 20 days off, then an additional 160 days of service.
During the 160-day service periods, please note that you will work ten-hour shifts, six days in a row and then a day off.
Anticipated total annual compensation is $170,052.80 based on the schedule described above.
Very notably, you will be able to exclude your income from U.S. Income taxes under the Foreign Earned Income Exclusion, as this will be earned income, assuming that you are outside of the country for 330 out of 365 days in a rolling 12-month period.
We calculate that compensation of $170,052.80 per year would result in the same after-tax income in a moderate to high tax state of $222,775.00 per year in the United States.
We will provide roundtrip airfare to and from Iraq, with lodging and three meals per day provided onsite at the US Embassy in Baghdad, Iraq.
