Position Overview

NextCare Urgent Care is seeking an energetic and compassionate Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Thornton, CO. You’ll play a vital role in providing quality, efficient, and patient-centered medical care in a fast-paced urgent care setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat patients in accordance with best practices for urgent care and occupational health.

  • Provide respectful, compassionate care aligned with NextCare’s mission and values.

  • Communicate clearly with patients regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and next steps.

  • Document care using an electronic health record (EHR) system.

  • Code and bill accurately for all services rendered.

  • Maintain productivity and quality standards consistent with peers and industry benchmarks.

  • Provide follow-up care as needed and ensure a positive patient experience.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Active and unrestricted Colorado medical license

  • Active DEA license

  • NCCPA certification (for Physician Assistants) or ANCC/AANP certification (for Nurse Practitioners)

  • Authorized to treat patients of all ages (Family Nurse Practitioner certification required for NPs)

  • BLS Certification (active)

  • Proficiency with EHR systems

  • Availability for occasional weekends and holidays (schedule varies by site)

Preferred:

  • Experience in urgent care, ER fast-track, or walk-in medical clinic

  • Suturing and initial X-ray interpretation skills

  • DOT Certification (training available if not currently certified)

  • Master’s degree in relevant field

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly Base Pay: $60.00–$80.00/hour (based on experience)

  • 12-Hour Shifts
