Job description
We are currently hiring a Full-Time Nurse Practitioner in Killeen, TX to perform non-treatment disability assessments for U.S. Veterans applying for VA benefits. This is a low-stress role with no ongoing care, no prescribing, and no treatment required—just focused clinical evaluations.
Position Details:
- Location: Killeen, Texas
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 800-400
- Daily Volume: 3-5 Veteran assessments per day
- Pay Rate: $500 per day
- Start Date: ASAP following credentialing and VA-required training
Responsibilities:
- Complete one-time, non-treatment medical exams
- Review medical records related to Veterans' disability claims
- Submit reports electronically within 24 hours of the exam
- Help facilitate the timely processing of VA benefits
Requirements:
- Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license (any state)
- No treatment or prescribing duties
- Prior experience in clinical assessments is a plus, but not required
